Puerta del Viento is a family winery where Jorge Vega has been making his wines, since 2009, in an artisanal way following the precepts of the ancestral winemaking wisdom of his territory, the result of observing the landscape that surrounds his vineyards around 800 m in the “Cordillera Berciana”, between the towns of Pieros and Cobrana.

Defender of the native varieties, Mencía and Godello, he cultivates old vineyards formed in glass with vegetal cover and without chemical treatments; and recovers the ancestral variety Pan y Carne, producing its first harvest in 2021.

Following the bases of organic viticulture, natural treatments, indigenous yeasts, without physical-chemical interventions and without the addition of any preservative, such as sulfur, it makes healthy, deep, fruity and round wines with a clear Burgundy style, very typical of Bierzo.
